From August 29- September 2,2024 56 players will tie on their cleats to challenge the Guinness World Record by playing in the 3rd edition of the World's Longest Baseball Game- all while making a differnece for cancer right here in Alberta.

The players will play for 100+ hours straight in Alberta's ever changing weather with the goal of raising funds in support of Cancer Research through the University of Alberta!

I am again volunteering as a scorekeeper at this event. It should be much warmer than the -50 degrees during the World's Longest Hockey Game in 2021. We have unfortunately all had a family member or a friend battle this disease and some have lost that battle. My dad past at the young age of 57 only having the opportunity to meet a few of his eventual 12 grandchildren, my mom fought cancer and survived. I have lost other family members, uncles, cousins, and aunts to cancer. We lost a very dear friend Betty Ann Coyne taken from us too early. We also remember little Max , grandson to Larry and Karen Spiess, good friends of ours who lost their beautiful grandson at a very young age of 6. The list could go on and on :(

Your support provides hope to the many people who struggle everyday to fight their battles with cancer. The funds raised from this event will go to the purchase of MR-Sim machine to give doctors a better tool in diagnosing and treating cancer.
