We know that when financial pressures are lifted, they’re free to focus… to explore new ideas… to pursue their purpose and shape the future. Your generosity directly enriches a student’s university experience, and empowers them to find their own success! It affords them the time and space to gain extra skills, join clubs and teams, or volunteer for causes that mean the most to them. For some students, it might even mean the difference between being able to graduate or not. How powerful is that?!

Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation

Play Around the World (PAW) offers students a global perspective on leadership, with play as a vehicle to enliven the human spirit and promote development for children and youth of all abilities. PAW broadens students’ world view as they collaborate with in-need communities to deliver play.

Equity and inclusion are top priorities for our legal community, and empowering the next generation of Indigenous, Black and students of colour leaders is essential to that goal. The Hon. Lionel Jones Memorial Endowment supports a range of initiatives to ensure that these law students thrive.

Alberta School of Business

Our students thrive when they are challenged to create, explore and tackle the thorny problems of our time. The Student Experience Fund supports scholarships and awards and programs that connect students with community organizations, and international and experiential learning opportunities.

Faculty of Engineering

The Engineering our Next Generation fund – or the ENG Fund – supports Faculty of Engineering undergraduate students’ beyond-the-classroom experiences from student projects to athletics, helping our students seize life-changing opportunities.

Faculty of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences

The Pharmacy Student Experiential Learning Fund will help students overcome the financial stresses of going on rotations across Alberta whether in rural, suburban, or urban communities. This fund will also support new programs and resources benefiting the pharmacy student experience overall.

Faculty of Native Studies

The Faculty of Native Studies is a global leader in teaching, learning and community-based research concerning Indigenous peoples, their histories and contemporary realities. The Native Studies Fund enables us to continue providing exceptional experiences for students.

School of Public Health

The School of Public Health Emergency Fund gives to students facing difficulties due to unforeseen circumstances. By alleviating financial burdens, we can ensure that every student has the opportunity to pursue their passion for public health and make a positive impact in their communities.

Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine

Recruiting and supporting Indigenous and rural students plays an essential role in tackling the challenge of access to rural health services, and the need for culturally safe, appropriate rehabilitation care for Indigenous Peoples.

The Augustana Faculty Bursary Endowment will help ensure deserving students who demonstrate financial need don’t miss their chance to make their mark on the world. The bursary supports students of all backgrounds and academic pursuits at Augustana who are in need of critical financial support.

Library and Museums

The Library Fund allows us to enhance our library spaces with new technology and resources for our students to excel. The Museums and Collections Fund enables U of A Museums to hire students, providing them valuable job experience with real world, hands-on activities.

Faculty of Education

The Education Student Support Fund ensures undergraduate students with unexpected financial difficulties can complete their studies, graduate and become the teachers they dream of being.

Faculty of Nursing

This fund enhances the overall education experience of Indigenous students who wish to practice in the nursing profession. It enables the Faculty to provide financial and research supports, as well as experiential learning opportunities, to Indigenous students.

Faculty of Arts

The Arts Beyond the Classroom Fund powers learning by doing, and promotes community engagement, entrepreneurship and the significance of making industry connections. The goal of the fund is to enrich traditional learning with practical hands-on experiences to help students become future-ready.

The Science Experiential Skills Advantage program (SESA) aims to reduce barriers for underrepresented students to access hands-on learning opportunities. By creating new pathways for students to build their research and lab skills, you give them the confidence and tools to build their careers.

Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences

The Department of Agricultural, Food & Nutritional Science offers kitchens stocked with groceries so students educated in nutrition and food science can practice cooking and become confident in serving healthy meals. Adopt a food scientist and ensure that students have quality ingredients in class!

Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry

The Office of Advocacy & Wellbeing (OAW) helps all learners in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry stay healthy and on-track in their programs. From mental health to paying the rent, academic issues to accomodation concerns, the OAW is there when students and residents need a helping hand.

The First Peoples’ House (FPH) fund supports First Nations, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) students at the U of A. FPH provides holistic programs that are grounded in sacred ways of being and knowing that uplift FNMI learners to thrive in their academic journey and truly be proud of their heritage.
