The University of Alberta is working to help applicants, students and scholars – in our community and beyond – whose lives are affected by the crisis in Ukraine.
Our links with Ukraine and Ukrainian studies span many decades, including our Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies, Kule Institute for Advanced Study, Kule Folklore Centre, Department of Modern Languages and Cultural Studies, and the Wirth Institute for Austrian and Central European Studies acting as international voices on Ukrainian heritage and research. We are committed to actively provide support to students and scholars whose wellbeing and scholarly pursuits are affected by the crisis in Ukraine, including waiving up to all of the 2022-23 tuition fees for any Ukrainian Study Permit holders who are suffering financial hardship due to the war, and providing funding to support living costs for all incoming and current Ukrainian students in need during the 2022-23 academic year.
Your donation will provide Ukrainian students and scholars affected by the crisis in Ukraine with access to critical services and financial assistance to help ensure their safety, security and the ongoing support of their studies.
