The Faculty of Engineering DiscoverE program immerses underrepresented youth in STEM in early hands-on learning. The Endowment funds K-12 Engineering camps in rural and Indigenous communities, creates classroom and at-home kits, and ensures curriculums integrate Indigenous knowledge. On campus, the
Dr. George Ford, a professor, mentor and Dean taught undergraduate engineering students for 40 years! Supporting the endowment made in his memory provides opportunities for future generations of Mechanical Engineering students.
Students come from all over campus to get together in the Philosophy Department’s student lounge and reading room. But our chairs have been loved to death and need replacing.
The U of A Archives currently has fifty-seven 16mm format reels of In Touch With U - a slice-of-life series from the 70s that is at risk of deterioration. With your support, we can digitize and preserve the copies of these snapshots into daily life at the University.
