### Library Fund

Apart from the brand new Sperber Health Sciences Library, the other libraries on campus are over 40 years old and require major renovations to upgrade the study spaces, technology, and library resources to meet the needs of today's learners. The Library Fund enables us to revitalize the library spaces on campus to meet the evolving needs of today's students.

Libraries are among the most frequented places on campus for students. They provide students with a safe place for individual and group study and collaboration, access to traditional library resources such as academic books and journals, as well as modern technological resources such as the digital scholarship centre, 3D printing, recording studio, and VR lab as just a few examples. Our spaces provide students with access to resources and technology that enhance their learning experience.

We've been able to use the fund to purchase new furniture for the libraries as well as new technological resources. With your support, we can continue to revitalize our library spaces to provide students with world class facilities to study and engage in research and collaboration. 

### Museums and Collections Fund

Students are looking to build their resumes as part of their educational pursuits. The University of Alberta Museums has over 30 collections and a small dedicated team. 

By hiring students, we are able to give them valuable work experience that will enhance their academic pursuits and build their resumes so they have the skills and experience that they need to succeed in the workforce after graduation. Working for the Museums will also expose them to the many rare treasures in the collections, making this a very exciting opportunity for students.

We are able to provide students with real world, hands-on activities. Students are responsible for the projects they are assigned and they have the opportunity to be creative and take ownership of them. They have the potential to contribute to the culture of what we do in museums. We also place a big emphasis on transferable skills. We understand that students want to be employable after they graduate, so we really focus on helping them with skills they can transfer into other career paths.

Giving Day - Library and Museums

All eligible gifts made during the Giving Day period of 08:00 AM MT, March 26 to 08:00 AM MT, March 27 will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $1,000 per gift, per fund, until the institutional match pool of $100,000 is fully exhausted.
